Ever Get Tired of Your Own Sh*t?

What Life Actually Looks Like After the Trauma Load Lifts

I do. Let me count the ways.

Too many to count.

“But,” you say, “you are a trauma specialist helping people overcome their sh*t. Shouldn’t you be darn near perfect right about now?”

In theory ~ perhaps.
Theory based on emotionless, non-feeling human beings.

You do not become a perfect human after the heavy-duty trauma load goes away.
Life simply begins anew after trauma remediation.

Navigating life on the daily with no heavy-duty trauma load is tricky. Navigating life on the daily WITH a heavy-duty trauma load ~ well, good luck.  I've lived it, I know.

If You Started With the Heavy Load

My early childhood years were stacked with trauma. So, as I grew, I never knew how to live ~ to be, to love ~ until after starting the healing process in the second third of my life.

Rational living began after trauma remediation. Not before. After.

If Life Broadsided You Later

You may have had a relatively normal childhood with a few minor trauma events. You are now an adult ~ fairly well-adjusted, navigating life seemingly well.

Then BAM. Life broadsides you with an event that changes everything. Nothing is the same and you wish you could turn back time and resume your life.

If you identify with this ~ your reason for healing is to get back to who you were before the trauma. Were you perfect then? Probably not. But you were you ~ without the weight that arrived uninvited and stayed.

What Waits on the Other Side

If you have a trauma load you are living life ~ at least partially ~ around trauma’s demands. As the load increases so do the demands. After the demands have ceased:

life is still life
perfection does not exist
put one foot in front of the other
deal with each moment as it comes
chop wood, carry water

You are now at a fine starting point to begin or resume living without the trauma driving the show.

So ~ where were we?

Oh yeah. Ever get tired of your own sh*t?

Yes? Congratulations. You are a member of the human race.

And being tired of it, truly tired, is often the first honest signal that something is ready to shift. The Mainframe Echo Diagnostic™ is a private assessment of what is operating in your field ~ included complimentary with every Clarity Call.
