CAN THE SOUL BE FRAGMENTED?
The Soul Does Not Fragment. Selves of Separation™ Do.
Here Is What That Means and Why It Changes Everything
I wrote an earlier version of this article in 2011. At the time I used the term soul fragmentation because it was the language available to me and to most practitioners working in this field. I used it sincerely and the understanding behind it was genuine. But the framework was incomplete.
My understanding has evolved. And because this is foundational to everything I do, I want to set the record straight.
What The Soul Truly Is
To me, the soul is the Creator Source consciousness, Who We Really Are, the awareness that animates everything. The great religious and nonphysical teachings across cultures and centuries agree on this: that all of us carry this within us, that we are THAT also.
We are individuated expressions of the same originating consciousness, with the same capacity to create as the Source we came from.
Now consider that for a moment. How can the greatest power there is, ever was, or ever will be fragment? How can something omnipotent and unbreachable split apart in a little game of duality consciousness? The answer is that it cannot IMHO. The soul does not fragment. It does not wound. It does not lose pieces of itself to traumatic events.
What Actually Happens During Trauma
The soul is always directing energy through the body-mind-field complex. It uses this energy encoded with its own specific signal and personal coding for this particular existence to move through experience.
Think of it as water flowing through a hose. The soul is the source of the water. The energy is the flow. The body-mind-field complex is the hose.
When trauma happens, that freely flowing energy does not break off and disappear. It distorts. It knots. The traumatic event, with all its specific information, all its emotional charge, all its pain, gets recorded in the energy itself, carrying the soul's personal stamp from this lifetime.
The distorted energy encapsulates around the experience, creating what I now call a coded trauma packet. A kink in the hose. The hose, the soul remains completely intact. But the flow is disrupted.
These coded packets do not dissolve on their own. They accumulate. They carry timestamps - which is why events from past and parallel lifetimes can be traced and cleared, because they retain their own specific informational signature.
When we leave the body at the end of a lifetime, whatever is with us goes with us. When we return, we carry it back in.
This is not soul fragmentation. This is energy encapsulation. The distinction is everything.
The soul remains whole, intact, and unbreachable. ALWAYS
Selves of Separation™
I use the term Selves of Separation™ ” SOS ” to describe what is actually happening when someone experiences what has previously been called soul fragmentation. An SOS is a coded trauma encapsulation.
A distorted pattern of energy carrying the informational content of a painful event, separated from neutral whole expression.
A Self Of Separation™ can arise from this lifetime - a specific traumatic event, a sustained period of abuse, an overwhelming loss. It can arise from past and parallel lifetimes, carrying its own timestamp and expressing in this life.
It can also arrive from outside -> wound-coded residue from another person that has embedded in your field and runs as if it were your own.
When you react to a stimulus and the reaction does not come from a neutral place - when something compulsive, defensive, or self-destructive is expressing - an SOS is driving it. Not your soul. Not the real you. A coded encapsulation of pain that has been running the show from beneath conscious awareness.
The False Ego
The ego as it is referenced in traditional mainstream contexts does not exist in the way most people think. What does exist ~ and what is most often being described when someone says ego ~ is what I call the False Ego: an accumulation of all the Selves of Separation™ housed in the quantum field, expressing through the subconscious in every moment.
When someone appears to be acting from ego ~ defensive, reactive, controlling, wounded ~ they are very likely expressing a complicated combination of SOS seeking resolution of pain. Understanding that reframes how we respond to both ourselves and others in those moments.
On Dissociation
Dissociative Amnesia and Dissociative Identity Disorder are real clinical phenomena and deserve to be addressed clearly. Dissociation is not random. It is the soul - the greater part of you - making a decision about what the mind field can and cannot hold at a given moment. When trauma is too extreme to process consciously and survive, the soul knows when to protect the conscious mind from the full impact of what is happening.
This is not fragmentation. This is intelligence. Just because you may not fully understand what you are doing here does not mean the greater part of you does not know.
In Dissociative Amnesia, the trauma is encoded in a coded packet and the conscious mind is mercifully shielded from it until conditions are safe enough to process. The main personality stays in charge.
In Dissociative Identity Disorder, the encapsulations become so specific and substantial that distinct expressions ~ what were previously called alter personalities ~ develop to handle what the main personality cannot.
These are not separate souls. They are SOS expressions that have developed enough coherence to take on distinct characteristics.
In both cases the soul remains whole throughout. It is the energy ~ the flow through the hose ~ that has been disrupted.
How SOS Are Created And From Where
Physical assault, sexual assault, emotional abuse, the death of a loved one, surgery, accidents, sustained fear, participation in war, extreme loss - any event that overwhelms the system's capacity to process in the moment can generate a coded trauma packet.
The list is not exhaustive. What matters is not the category but the impact on the energy flow.
There is also something that most approaches do not address - and it is important. In the course of an assault, perpetrators have been known to propel their own distorted energy outward and into the field of the person they are harming.
This means that a person who has experienced abuse may be carrying not only their own coded trauma packets but also the perpetrator's discordant energy embedded in their field. This is not metaphor. I have encountered this consistently across twenty years of practice.
SOS can also arise from what might be called loving too much - a consuming, overprotective attachment that sends distorted energy from one person into another's field. A parent's anxiety, carried so intensely that it encapsulates and attaches to a child. Well-intentioned. Still disruptive.
I worked with a client who strongly felt the presence of his deceased father and believed it to be an earthbound attachment: a soul that had not crossed over. Upon investigation we discovered the father had indeed moved on appropriately.
What the client was feeling was substantial energetic residue - approximately ten to fifteen percent of the father's personal energy field had encapsulated and remained with his son across a lifetime of intense bond.
The father's SOS understood quickly that it was not in the son's best interest to remain. It was cleared and the client felt immediate relief.
A Crucial Step That Many Practitioners Miss
When working with SOS that relate to abuse - particularly childhood abuse - the perpetrator's embedded energy must be addressed and removed before any of the client's own coded packets are approached. The reason is straightforward.
The client's SOS - particularly young, frightened encapsulations from childhood - remain in hiding precisely because the perpetrator energy is still present in the field. They are not ready to emerge while that threat remains.
I witnessed this principle violated firsthand at a workshop years ago. A man bravely shared his childhood abuse history and the group proceeded to work with his younger SOS - before the perpetrator energy had been identified and removed.
Initially it seemed to go well. Days later the man's wife called in a panic. He was in crisis. His younger SOS, now surfaced, were terrified because the perpetrator energy was still present. The session had inadvertently made things worse.
We went into session immediately. Identified and cleared the perpetrator energy first. Then worked lovingly with the younger encapsulations. The man returned to balance. That experience confirmed something I had already believed - sequence matters enormously in this work.
How You Might Recognize This In Yourself
People carrying significant accumulated SOS often describe their experience in similar ways:
I feel scattered. I don't feel like I am all together.
Something is missing from me. I feel full of holes.
I hear a parent's voice in my head telling me what to do.
I still feel the presence of someone who harmed me.
I retain emotional pain no matter what I do.
Those carrying DA or DID-related SOS may additionally experience losing time, PTSD, depression, anxiety, a general feeling of dissociation from who they are, difficulty centering, or the sense that there are others present within them.
None of this means the soul is broken. It means the energy flow has been significantly disrupted and the accumulated encapsulations are running the show from beneath conscious awareness.
What Clearing Actually Does
The clearing process works by tracking into each coded packet, delivering healing information, bringing it to neutral, and releasing it from the field. When the distorted energy is deactivated and cleared, the main personality - you - feels more whole, more coherent, more capable of moving forward.
Not because something was retrieved and reintegrated. Because something that was disrupting the flow was removed.
The distinction between retrieval and removal matters. Soul retrieval implies that a piece of the soul was lost and must be brought back. What I do is closer to clearing a blocked pipe - identifying precisely what is in the way, deactivating it, and restoring the flow.
The soul was never missing. It was always there. The coded encapsulations were simply obscuring access to it.
Soul - consciousness, Who We Really Are - is always sovereign. Always whole. Always there. The work is simply to clear what has been covering it.
On Soul Retrieval ~ And Why This Work Does Something Different
Many traditions and alternative practitioners speak of journeying to retrieve lost soul fragments, bringing them home, cleaning them up, and reintegrating them so the person can feel whole again.
I have deep respect for those traditions and the practitioners who work within them. What I am about to say is not a criticism of that approach. It is simply a description of where my own understanding has arrived.
The old model assumes that coded energy packets - what soul retrieval calls fragments - need to be recovered, cleaned, and reused. That the soul has lost something that must be brought back and recycled before the person can feel whole again.
My understanding has moved to a different place entirely. The Soul, Who We Really Are, Source consciousness - generates energy. It does not run out of it. There is nothing to recover and recycle. The coded packets sitting in the field are not lost pieces of the soul waiting to come home.
They are accumulated distortions generating dysfunction. And the work is not to retrieve them, clean them up, and reapply them. It is to decode them, deactivate them, and remove them entirely.
The feeling of wholeness that follows is not because something was returned. It is because a significant load of distorted energy was removed - bringing the person closer to the Sovereign Self that was always intact and whole beneath it. Nothing was missing. Something was obscuring.
For coded packets that have traveled beyond the client’s own field - to other people, to other locations, or being accessed by duality-vested interference - the approach is the same but the sequence differs.
Those packets are traced through the client’s personal energetic coding, identified wherever they are, and destroyed on site. Any energetic tielines or tracers connecting the client to those packets or to those people are severed and cleared at the same time.
No retrieval. No cleaning. No reintegration. Destroyed where they are found. Tielines severed. The client’s field restored to its own sovereign signal.
