THE HELD SELF™  · Male SEXUAL ASSAULT

Hey ~ You Are Still a Warrior

Healing Male Sexual Assault Trauma

The emotional trauma after a sexual assault is complex ~ whether you are male or female, gay or straight. But you men have the masculinity thing to deal with on top of all of it. And motoring through that is a very significant hurdle to healing.

Tears Are Tension Busters

If you are human you have tension that can be released through tears. Women are quite familiar with this. But tears do not discriminate. Men ~ you come with the same biological system to shed tension this way too.

Does it make sense that you would have that system if you were not supposed to use it?

Anyone will blow up inside in some way if tension is not released. And if not released by tears, another ugly way will arise. The system was not installed as decoration. It is there because it is needed.

How I Work With You

I use my masculine side most of the time when working with you. And my masculine side does not play. I am thorough AF and do not waste your time.

That is how I know how powerful the masculine can be when working to overcome something. It is not the enemy of healing ~ it is one of its most effective tools when pointed in the right direction.

Strong in Your Vulnerability

Embracing vulnerability ~ allowing yourself to be angry, to cry, to need ~ creates the environment. When you allow yourself to be strong in your vulnerability ~ healing begins. Connections deepen. And something that was never possible before becomes possible.

You cannot get over it until you get over it.
Until you expose and dispose of the ties that bind.

Going back through it ~ finding and releasing the coded packets of pain ~ is how you get over it. Not around it. Not past it. Through it.

That is what warriors do. And you are still one.

When you are ready ~ I am here. No performance required. Just the quiet decision to begin.
