EARTHBOUND SPIRITS, DISCARNATES, & GHOSTS: FIVE QUIET TRUTHS
If you’ve ever felt a heaviness that wasn’t quite yours, this may bring clarity.
The image above illustrates a class of non-physical beings that feed on or influence us. Some of these spirits are truly lost — not malevolent, just confused. Others, however, are not lost at all, and they do not want help. Still, when revealed, they leave.
Earthbounds — also called Discarnates — are human beings who have passed through the physical death process but are unwilling or unable to transition to their next destination. Some don’t even realize they’ve died. They wander close to the physical plane, often encountering the living and, at times, attaching.
Carl Wickland, author of 30 Years Among the Dead, was a pioneer of spirit releasement long before it became mainstream. His observations still align with many of today’s findings:
“The organism of every human being generates a nervous force and magnetism which surrounds him with an atmosphere of vital emanations and psychic light known as the Magnetic Aura. This aura is visible as a light to earthbound spirits in their condition of darkness…”
To these wandering spirits, our magnetic aura — what we might call the Quantum Field — shines like a beacon. It draws them in.
✦ If you’ve ever felt “watched over” but couldn’t explain why, you may already be noticing signs of attachment. [Explore a quiet diagnostic here.]
When a breach exists in our field, Earthbounds may fall in, intentionally enter, or be pulled in by another entity. Once inside, the spirit often becomes entangled with the host's mind, identity, and energy. Wickland continues:
“Such spirits are unable to leave this psychic environment and in the resulting state of confusion — although struggling for freedom — they find themselves living the life of the psychic with him, resenting his presence and bewildered by a sense of dual personality.”
This sense of entitlement is not limited to Earthbounds. It is common across many forms of non-native energies. Once within a host's field, they rarely leave without facilitation.
FIVE QUIET TRUTHS ABOUT LOST SOULS
1 Loving Attachments Aren’t Harmless
A deceased parent or grandparent may remain near a family member to “watch over” them — especially a newborn or grieving adult. While the intention feels tender, the effect is disruptive.
Clients often report symptoms that mirror a parent’s — unexplained depression, a lingering voice in their head, or an emotional fog that doesn’t feel fully their own.
Letting go is hard. But remember: your loved one’s evolution is also halted by staying. Their return to movement allows yours to accelerate. And reunion, if needed, is always possible later — soul to soul.
✦ When grief becomes identity, or another voice lingers too long in your thoughts… it may not be just memory. [Start the process here.]
2 Addictions Don’t Die With the Body
If someone dies with an unresolved addiction, they may seek a living host to continue that experience. Some search for humans with the same craving. Others attach to non-users and push them toward the habit.
Wickland writes:
“Relentless as the grip which the drug habit holds on its mortal victims, the power of narcotics extends even more tyrannically beyond the grave... Such spirits frequently obtain partial satisfaction through controlling mortal sensitives, and forcing them to become addicts of some drug.”
This applies equally to alcohol, nicotine, food, rage, or even thought addiction.
3 Unresolved Disease Can Transfer Energetically
When a person dies still identifying with their illness, that imprint may transfer to a host. Wickland explains:
“Spirits who are ignorant of having lost their physical bodies often hold firmly in mind the thought of their former physical condition and continue to suffer… When spirits under this delusion... come into the auras of mortals, their condition is conveyed...”
This doesn’t guarantee the illness will manifest. But it can exacerbate latent issues or distort wellness patterns.
4 Sometimes, the Intention is Protection
Some Earthbounds attach during moments of childhood distress. They believe they are helping — protecting the child through trauma. But their presence becomes entanglement, and their unresolved energies compound over time.
Even the kindest spirit causes dissonance when occupying space that isn’t theirs.
5 The Souls of Lost Pregnancies May Remain
Stillbirths, miscarriages, abortions, or maternal deaths can leave behind a fully formed soul still attached to the mother — or to a nearby family member. These spirits often had intentions to resolve karmic threads with the family and may feel disoriented or incomplete when their vessel is lost.
Even when an Earthbound’s intention is love — they are still non-native energy.
And any non-native energy interferes with sovereignty.

A GENTLE CLOSING
Attachments are parasitic by nature. Even those that mean well slowly drain life force, magnify patterns that aren't yours, and prevent authentic healing.
In Sovereign Core Process™, these BEings are identified, acknowledged, and compassionately guided back to their rightful location. The process is precise, quiet, and free of dramatics. All involved — human and spirit — receive what they need.
