Possession is a simple concept to understand once we break it down. Portrayed as scary and unsettling to keep us in submission and thus prohibit our understanding and removal of these impediments is the objective. And, indeed, that strategy is working. Possession works until we become savvy to the what, who, how and why of it. Once we understand the basic moving parts, then we can take steps to get out from under it.

It keeps us from feeling good. That is the bottom line.
As long as we don't feel good we are under some sort

Again, possession is merely control.
Exorcism is simply severing that control.
Exorcism is just a fancy, scary word for healing.
Soul Remediation is a word used in place of exorcism.

Demystifying particular words and situations supports higher understandings and alleviates discomfort. Below are two definitions of exorcism from Encarta World English Dictionary and an exploration of each one. This exploration will assist in neutralizing thoughtforms associated with this process.
1 ‘a special ritual or spoken formula used with the intention of driving out evil spirits’
2 ‘the act of ridding the mind of oppressive feelings or memories
The ‘evil spirits,’ or the more classical term demons, have no pitchforks, horns or pointy tails, although they may present themselves as such for effect because that is what we expect. There are many more spirits out there other than demonic spirits that are influencing us.
The second Encarta definition may be a less-fearful thought approach to exorcism. If we can look at exorcism in the way of resolving oppressive, negative feelings and removing factors that keep in place and exaggerate old unwanted memories, perhaps this word can gain positive connotations and the action of it seen as a highly-beneficial wellness tool.
Perfect healing, in its purest form, is the ejecting of all forms of feeling/emotional generators that create less than contentment and joyful living no matter where it comes from, and there can be many sources.
And finally clinical exorcism, as practiced in Soul Remediation, is a no-drama zone. Hollywood films, other cultures and religions have depicted huge drama scenes with extreme circumstances. These extreme circumstances do occur on occasion, but possession is mostly a covert operation. In SR, there is quiet communication, most of the time, with intrusive spirits and they are logically guided to their appropriate destination which is no longer you. Everybody wins!
No matter how you cut it, Soul Remediation, exorcism and healing all mean the same thing: disconnecting from that which hinders us from perfect alignment with our Authentic Self
Both the LV and the HV gotta go. It seems strange that the HV creatures are in on the deal, but they are. We have been brainwashed to believe that they are the 'safe' side of the polarity scale but, in reality, part of what is keeping the reincarnation cycle and game going in general is their presence, energy and intention. They also feed off of us. We give them energy with our focus.
There are lots and lots of those creatures and many varieties, shapes and sizes from myriad planets and dimensions. Sometimes we have agreements with them to help us and sometimes we don't. That is another story.

Some theories are that we originally intended to freely create as a Spiritual Being in a Physical Field with no interference and other Beings from other planets/dimensions caught wind of it and took us over. Another theory is that we originally agreed to duality to a lesser degree than we are experiencing now and yet again we were taken over and things went haywire. Some claim we were seeded here. There is much more to these theories, but that is not our focus. To be clear and concise, we are going to go into what we are experiencing now no matter how we got here. Understanding what to undo is the only priority.
Possession is part of the game of duality on planet Earth. Duality means experiencing feelings from extreme fear to ecstatic bliss on the polarity scale and all gradients in-between the two.
The graph above can give us a visual on what that means. To the left in the red is the fear zone (dark energies/entities, the low vibe LV, referred to as demonic) and the purple zone is the ecstatic bliss zone (light energies/entities, the high vibe HV referred to as angelic).
In the middle is Zero Point - the place of contentment, natural peace and calm joy. The only entity there is Authentic Self - the us that remains after all the goop is stripped bare, the BEing that we originally came in as and Who We Really Are. That is the place to be. And to get there we have to figure out how to get out of the slop and who the players are.
To keep the game going, all Beings in the multiverse are playing in duality whether they are in low-vibrational or a high-vibrational non-physical form. The creatures on both sides of the scale help us effect the duality feelings - those who help with extreme fear (the low vibe, LV) and the those who help with ecstatic bliss (the high vibe, HV). Both the fear and ecstatic bliss zones suck the life right out of you and feed the creatures who are politely helping you have those feelings.

How They Affect and Attach To Us

They generally attach to our energy field, physical body (especially the central nervous system) and subconscious mind. They can also attach to other parts of our body, affect us from a distance and do not have to be directly in or around us to wreak havoc.
They are able to attach to us through openings in our auric field (Quantum Field) when in non-neutral states, thru agreements, by riding in with other energies/entities or outright hostile aggression.
Our auric or energy capsule opens when there are thoughts, words or actions unlike love or neutrality and especially when we are a highly fearful.
A person who is in the heightened emotional state of ecstatic bliss is also open and energy loss is significant.
Each entity and their accoutrement usually have a basic feeling, emotion or detrimental action that they are specifically in charge of. Sometimes they originate these actions and sometimes they merely amplify them. There is much to this naturally.
It is accurate to say that some are lost and misplaced too and do not have malevolent intentions, but they do carry duality energies such as the many aspects of fear and bliss. And as long as they are attached to us, we experience what they experience.
Whatever the case may be for a particular entity their presence is inappropriate and, in Soul Remediation, they are successfully relocated to their legitimate environments.
